Grant Compliance Coordinator (Paused)
The Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas (HLA) is currently hiring a Grants Compliance Coordinator.
The Grants Compliance Coordinator is responsible for grant management and compliance processes for state-funded homeless prevention and diversion services provided by the HLA as well as services subcontracted to provider agencies of the CoC. This role includes performing billing and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with grant requirements, providing technical assistance to subcontracted agencies, coordinating payments based on allowable expenses, and preparing reports for submission to the funder. The coordinator will also work closely with finance and program staff to support effective grant administration and may also take part in on-site quality monitoring activities for grant programs administered by the HLA and CoC.
Salary, Benefits, and Work Environment:
$25.00 - $26.50 per hour
Temporary, full-time (40-hours / week)

This is a hybrid position that includes both work-from-home and travel throughout Pinellas County
Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify grant compliance for state-funded services, ensuring adherence to grant terms, conditions, and reporting requirements.
Hold regular meetings with subcontracted providers to review progress on contracted deliverables, spending, successes, and challenges, and to collaborate on strategies to mitigate barriers.
Provide ongoing technical assistance and support to subcontracted agencies on grant management, billing, and contractual compliance issues.
Maintain organized records and documentation related to grant administration, financial transactions, and monitoring activities.
Review billing from subcontracted agencies and prepare invoices to ensure expenses are allowable and align with grant guidelines.
Review requests for client financial assistance for accuracy and completeness.
Work closely with finance team to process payments and manage budget allocations for grant-funded activities.
Track grant spending to ensure funds are spent down appropriately before the grant period ends.
Report concerns about rate of spending and related issues to Director of Finance and Director of Quality & Performance Improvement.
Participate in quality monitoring activities to ensure grant objectives and outcomes are being met.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for grant compliance and performance reviews.
Participate in site visits and community meetings as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Finance, or a related field; or two years of experience in nonprofit grants management, including funding and program evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong computer skills with experience working with Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe DC. QuickBooks experience a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with budget management.
Excellent time management skills to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of grant compliance regulations and standards, particularly those related to state and federal funding for social services.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must pass a Level II Background Screening.

Special Projects Coordinator (Paused)

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required.
A minimum of two years of experience in homeless services is required.
Can work autonomously and think both critically and creatively.
Veteran System Specialist (Paused)
The Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas (HLA) is currently hiring a Veteran System Specialist.

This is a hybrid position that includes both work-from-home and travel throughout Pinellas County
Implement, develop, and maintain a CoC Veteran Subcommittee.
Ongoing development and maintenance of Veteran-specific Homeless Crisis Matrixes.
Implement and develop SMART goals to meet the Veteran Benchmarks.
Assist with ongoing development and implementation of the Veteran Written Standards.
Preference will be given to honorably discharged U.S. Veterans who are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with (Veteran) homelessness, poverty, housing, mental health, and human services.
Strong relationship builder and communicator with a customer service focus.
Must be willing to participate in the Agency Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) process.
