Aaron M. Swift, Esq. is Named Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas

The Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas (HLA) and Pinellas Continuum of Care (CoC) Boards of Directors are excited to announce that HLA Vice-Chair, Aaron M. Swift, Esq., resigned from the Board of Directors to be elevated to the position of Interim CEO of the Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas.

Aaron brings an incredible passion for ending the cycle of homelessness in Pinellas County because he himself has lived experience here from the ages of 2-6, and he benefited from some of our incredible providers, like ALPHA House, all those years ago.

As Interim CEO, Aaron will work closely with the CoC to lead the search for the HLA’s permanent CEO. Aaron brings deep experience in non-profit Board governance and private business to deftly lead the HLA through this transition. 

Kathleen Beckman, Chair of the Pinellas County Continuum of Care said, “I appreciate Aaron stepping in to serve as Interim CEO. I look forward to the HLA securing a permanent CEO who will help us reach our goal of reducing and preventing homelessness in our community. We are facing incredibly challenging times, as many Pinellas County residents struggle to secure and maintain housing they can afford.”

About Aaron M. Swift, Esq.: Mr. Swift joined the HLA team as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in December 2024, after serving as Vice Chair of the HLA Board of Directors. In addition to serving as Interim CEO of the HLA, Mr. Swift co-owns and manages Florida and National consumer protection law firms. In his law practices, Mr. Swift focuses on helping financial abuse victims, stopping harassing debt collectors, and fixing credit reports. With a lived experience of being unhoused in this very community over 30 years ago, Mr. Swift now dedicates a significant amount of time to giving back. To that end, Mr. Swift previously served as the Vice President of the ALPHA House Board of Directors, a local provider that housed Mr. Swift, his brother, and pregnant mother over two periods of time in the 1980’s.
